Release notes for the Plentake panel for Adobe Premiere Pro.
Get the latest version
Free download for macOS and Windows. It includes every change below.
The panel can't update itself. After the download starts, follow the short
install steps that appear below the buttons (on a Mac you'll use the free ZXP Installer; on
Windows, the included installer), then reopen the Plentake panel in Premiere. Your settings
are kept.
Version 1.5.1
Latest4 October 2026
- Longer sequences with Premium transcription. The audio sent for Premium
transcription is now smaller (about 50 MB per hour), so sequences up to roughly 110
minutes upload without errors. If a file is still too large, you now get a clear message
with what to do instead of a bare "Upload failed" error.
Version 1.5.0
3 October 2026
- Captions, now its own tab. Subtitle creation moved out of A-Roll Cleaner into
its own Captions tab, right between A-Roll and B-Roll — same free subtitle generation and
AI polish, easier to find.
- A new motion graphics option. GPT-6.1 Sol joins the motion graphics quality
picker — near-flagship quality at a lower credit cost.
- Style guides use their full length. A loaded style guide for motion graphics
is now used in full (up to 8,000 characters) instead of being quietly cut down further.
Version 1.4.11
1 October 2026
- Stock B-Roll places more reliably. Placing a freshly downloaded clip on your
timeline no longer fails right after it finishes downloading.
- A cheaper way to tweak a plan. After a B-Roll plan is built, Plentake now
points you to Revise entire plan for a different take — it costs less than rebuilding
from scratch.
Version 1.4.10
1 October 2026
- Clear answers when the AI says no. If the AI declines a request because of its safety
filter, Plentake now says so plainly — in every tool — and refunds the credits.
- Know what to change. When a request can't be processed, for example a section that's too
long, the message tells you what to change instead of asking you to try again.
- Automatic refunds for failed AI images and videos. If an AI image or video stops partway
through, the credits come back on their own.
Version 1.4.9
1 October 2026
- Transcripts keep going. If Premium transcription is ever temporarily unavailable, Plentake
finishes the job with Standard transcription automatically instead of stopping — and those minutes don't
come out of your free Standard allowance.
- A backup AI behind every tool. If an AI service behind a tool has an outage, the request now
moves to a backup automatically and your work carries on. For motion graphics, if the backup costs less than
the quality you picked, you're only charged the lower price.
Version 1.4.8
30 September 2026
- Your account, one click away. Manage subscription now opens your Plentake account page
already signed in — your plan, what's left this month and your invoices in one place. Changing your
subscription from there opens the billing page without asking for a login code.
- Clear when an update is required. If a Plentake update is ever required, the panel
says so and links straight to the download, instead of failing with a vague error.
Version 1.4.7
30 September 2026
- Your free Quick runs, in plain sight. On the free plan, Quick silence removal
includes 10 runs or 90 minutes of video each month — whichever comes first. What's left shows
right under Find cuts, and running the same sequence again on the same day counts only once.
Paid plans are unlimited.
- Stock B-Roll allowance. The free plan includes 10 stock searches and 20 imports a
month in the Stock B-Roll tab. Searching the same words again on the same day, or paging through
results, doesn't count twice. B-roll that the B-Roll Editor finds for your plan doesn't count at all.
- Everything in one place. Click your account to see what's left this month — credits,
Quick A-Roll, Stock B-Roll, Standard transcription and Standard AI — and the date each renews.
- Everything else stays the same. Automatic camera switching and Full analysis
work exactly as before.
Version 1.4.6
29 September 2026
- Never stuck on credits. If a step costs more credits than you have, its
button tells you and opens your plan options in one click. And if a job stops for lack of
credits, "Get more credits" sits right next to the message.
- A heads-up before you run out. A small bar appears at the top of the panel when
you're down to your last 50 credits.
- From clean cuts to b-roll. When the A-Roll Cleaner finishes your cuts, one click
takes you to the B-Roll Editor to add b-roll to the same edit.
Version 1.4.5
29 September 2026
- A simpler, clearer panel. Every tab now tells you what you get, the next
step is always obvious, and fine-tuning sits under "Advanced settings" with a one-click
"Reset to defaults". Each tool's options moved out of Settings and into its own tab.
- Costs on the buttons. Buttons show what they cost before you press them —
for example "Build plan · 10 credits" or "Find highlights · free".
- A-Roll Cleaner: Quick or Full. Quick removes silences for free, right on your
computer. Full also removes filler words and repeated takes.
- B-Roll in three steps. Transcript, plan, review — then "Generate & place"
with the total cost on the button. Plans now suggest AI images more often and AI video only
where motion really matters, so the same edit uses fewer credits.
- Transcription quality picks itself. Premium on paid plans, Standard (free)
otherwise. Change it any time with one click.
Version 1.4.4
26 September 2026
- Design thumbnails from your own photo. Besides capturing the frame at the
playhead, you can now upload any photo (PNG, JPG or WEBP) — for example a portrait shot
separately from the video. It works for one image across all thumbnails and for a different
image per thumbnail. Large photos are resized automatically.
- Revise looks at the right image. When each thumbnail has its own image,
"Revise" now uses that thumbnail's image instead of an earlier one.
- A new look in Plentake orange. Buttons, tabs, checkboxes and highlights now
use the same orange as plentake.com.
Version 1.4.3
25 September 2026
- Finds leftover copies. If an older copy of Plentake is still installed on
your computer — for example one installed under a different folder name — the panel tells
you where it is, with a "Show in Finder" (or "Show in Explorer") button so you can delete
it. Premiere Pro runs only the newest copy, but an old one would quietly come back if you
ever removed the current one. The list also stays in Settings › About.
- Cleaner installs on Windows. The installer now removes every older copy of
Plentake from your user folder before it installs, whatever the folder is called, and the
uninstaller removes them all. Copies installed for all users are pointed out, because
deleting those needs admin rights.
- Install guide with video. A 30-second video and a one-page PDF walk you
through installing. On Windows both are inside the download; on the website they appear
right under the download buttons.
Version 1.4.2
25 September 2026
- Motion graphics can draw. For illustrative topics (a process, a diagram, a
scene) the AI can now draw with code instead of stacking text boxes — smoother, more
visual results.
- Pick your motion graphics AI. Settings › B-Roll now offers Claude Fable 5,
GPT-6 Astra, Claude Opus 5.5 and Gemini Flash (default), each with its credit cost shown.
- Buy extra credits in one click. On a Starter or Power plan, click your credit
balance in the sidebar — "Buy extra credits" is right there. When you drop below 100 credits
the balance turns red so you can top up before a job stops.
- Safer previews. The motion graphics preview now runs in a locked-down frame,
so nothing in a generated animation can reach the rest of the panel.
- Fewer failed renders. Motion graphics that asked for a font our renderer
can't load used to fail. Those fonts are now swapped automatically and the render retries.
Version 1.4.1
23 September 2026
If you are reading this because the panel told you, that part is new.
Update notices were supposed to appear from late August, but a missing server setting
stopped the panel from ever reading the version file — so nobody was told about the last
five releases. That is fixed.
- B-Roll plans no longer fail on long videos. Some plans stopped after about
two minutes with a service error and refunded your credits. The request is now streamed,
so a long plan keeps going until it finishes.
- You now hear about new versions. The panel checks once a day and shows a
banner when an update is out.
- The panel tells us which version it is. Just the version number, sent when
the panel loads your account. It lets us see who is stuck on an older build and reach out,
instead of guessing.
Version 1.4.0
22 September 2026
You can stop a long job now. Until this version, once a generation
started there was no way out except closing the panel — while credits kept being spent.
- A Stop button on every long job. Summarizer, Highlight Selector, B-Roll
generation and Thumbnail Designer all show it while they work. The step that is already
running finishes — it is already paid for — and nothing after it starts, so you are never
charged for work you cancelled.
- Long transcripts no longer come back half-analysed. On a long sequence the
AI's answer could be cut off mid-way. You would still get a plan, with a warning that part
of the transcript may have been skipped, and no way to fix it. Now the panel notices the
cut-off, splits that section in two and asks again automatically. Three separate causes
were fixed, including one where our server reported a truncated answer as complete.
- B-Roll images with GPT Image were broken and are fixed. Picking GPT Image 2.5
for B-Roll images failed outright — the panel was calling an address that does not exist.
It also showed 25 credits per image in the confirmation box when the real price was 10.
Both fixed.
- Thumbnail image models: three choices instead of one. GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst
(more detail), GPT Image 2.5 Flare (faster) and GPT Image 2 are now selectable separately.
Before, the picker said "GPT Image 2.5" without telling you which variant ran.
- Gap removal now really defaults to the fast method. "Default" was printed
next to the wrong option.
- Clearer messages when something blocks you. Errors used to show raw codes
like
credit_spend_failed. Every message now says what happened and what to do
about it — and if you have run out of a free monthly allowance, it tells you when it
resets.
- Your monthly free credits now actually arrive. We promised 100 extra credits
each month you use Plentake. The mechanism was missing. It exists now, and the panel tells
you when they land.
Installing on macOS has changed. The Mac
download is now the extension file itself (
.zxp), installed with the free
ZXP
Installer. It is one extra step the first time, and in exchange every fix reaches you
the day it is ready instead of waiting on Apple's notarisation queue.
Version 1.3.1
11 September 2026
Motion Graphics no longer asks you to install anything. That was the
one place in Plentake that needed extra software on your computer, and it's gone.
- Motion Graphics works on every machine now — no Node.js, nothing to install.
Before this version you had to install Node.js from nodejs.org before a single
graphic would render, and the first render quietly downloaded a browser engine in the
background. Both the render and the layout check now run on our servers, so
Motion Graphics behaves identically on every computer with nothing to install.
- The layout check now watches the finished graphic. It used to screenshot a
preview before rendering. Now an AI watches the actual rendered clip — the exact frames you
get — and if something overlaps or runs off the edge it rewrites the layout and re-renders.
Same 2 credits per pass, up to 3 passes, and you can switch it off in Settings.
- A dropped connection no longer breaks a render. A brief network hiccup could
silently push Motion Graphics onto your own machine, where it failed with a cryptic
spawn npx ENOENT. It now stays on our servers and tells you plainly if
something is temporarily unavailable.
- Vertical sequences get vertical graphics. Motion graphics in a 9:16 sequence
were being rendered as 16:9 and squashed.
- The Motion Graphics quality picker names the actual model — Claude Fable 5,
GPT-6 Astra or Gemini Flash — with what each one really costs, instead of
Max/High/Medium.
- Subtitles no longer drift out of sync. On longer sequences, standard-quality
subtitles slid earlier and earlier the further into the timeline you got — about half a
second lost per chunk. Transcripts made before the fix are no longer reused, so you get a
correct one next time.
- Pick your transcription quality in Title & Description and Thumbnail Designer
too, not just in Summarizer.
- Sharper AI images. Thumbnails and b-roll stills now use a newer image model
at full HD, for the same credits as before.
- Don't want AI video? There's a switch in Settings > B-Roll to stop the
planner from suggesting generated video, so a plan only uses stock footage and
images.
- Your account on the website. Sign in at plentake.com to see your plan,
credit balance and subscription, and to reset your password.
Server improvements
8 September 2026
- Your credits now unlock every paid feature. Some tools still asked for a
paid plan even when you had credits — including premium transcription, AI caption polish,
premium titles, and saving your B-roll plan. Credits are the only thing that matters now,
so the 200 you get on sign-up work everywhere.
- AI video generation is working again and it no longer stops when the day
has been busy.
- AI images keep working even if the daily limit on our image provider is
reached — requests switch to a backup automatically, at no extra credit cost.
Version 1.2.0
7 September 2026
We recommend everyone installs this one. It fixes two problems that
silently wasted your time and credits, and it makes AI video both cheaper and more reliable.
- AI video works again — and costs less. Video generation had been failing
outright. It's fixed, and it now runs on a provider without a daily ceiling, so it won't
stop working just because the day has been busy. The default quality dropped from 8 to
5 credits per second.
- B-roll clips no longer go missing. A generated clip could be created,
charged for, and then never land on the timeline — while the panel reported success.
The panel now verifies the clip is really placed and tells you plainly if it isn't.
- Subtitles in one step. Press the subtitle button and it just works: if the
sequence hasn't been transcribed it offers to do it, then adds the subtitles for you.
Previously it ran a full cut analysis you never asked for.
- Cleaner motion graphics. If a logo in a scene can't be fetched, the scene
now uses no logos at all instead of leaving broken boxes next to real ones.
- Sharper AI caption polish. Names and brands are now checked against the web,
so they come out spelled correctly.
- Windows setup. Plentake now installs on Windows as well as macOS.
